a nice summer day
hi. it's a lovely summer day. 85 degrees but not with all that wet air that makes everybody unhappy and i'm just doin' what i do best, takin' care of things around the homestead.
my Mom worked kinda part time this week and is gonna do the same next week. it's hard for her to get to work 'cause she can't drive 'till november so she's hitchin' a ride with somebody and takin' a bus some days. she says it's an adventure that i don't wanna hear 'bout.
what i really want to say 'bout my Mom though, is how she 'ppreciates your Mom's and how some of them are becomin' her friends. you know who you are, and it's really special to her that she can talk with you, so we thank you a lot. and i have to thank diva kitty and the crew again for the song you did for my Mom. she keeps playin' the short song from Rent that goes with it and it really makes her happy that you did that. so Thanks and i hope you all are havin' a good day!

Patches - aw, thanks, i think my Mom is pretty nice! i'm chewing on my grass that the Dad planted special for me! i got four different plantings of it and some of them are too big for me to chew on 'cause i can't even reach the tops they're so tall! this one is a good size, though.
your momma is really speshul, and we're glad that she's doing a little better. taking the bus - ugh. that has to be rough if she's not feeling well, speshully in the heat. you're doing a good job of taking care of her Edsel.
Edsel we all are just so happy that your mom is going to be OK. Little by little things will improve. You just have to keep giving her lots of love and the rest of us send good kittie vibes to her.

Edsel, we are glad your Mom's feelin' a little better. We are sorry that she has to ride the bus though, our mom says that's not any kind of fun.
I'm glad to hear that you're helping your mom get better and better! Do you think you and your sister could hitch up to a little wagon and pull her to work? I bet you'd all be on TV and famous and stuff!
William - Casey and i would do that if we could but it's way too far. it would prob'ly take us a week to get her there! she's mostly gonna ride with the person from work. she's just doin' the bus as kind of a back up plan
I'm glad your mom is doing better Edsel. So is the rest of the gang here, Mom and Grandma too. Mom says she bets your Mom gets frustrated she can't drive cuz she would be. I know you'll purr the frustrations right out of her though. I'm really glad you liked your song. :) I never wrote a song before, so I was scared it wouldn't be so good and I wanted it to be real good for you.

We are glad your mum is getting able to do more and more, Edsel. I am trying to catch up on all the posting everyone has been doing while I've been on holiday. Everyone's been so busy!
