4th of July

hi everybody!! this is me on the 4th of July. i was bein' kind of stealth 'cause my aunt and uncle were over and i don't know them very well, plus there were fireworks that were really loud, but even tho' all that was goin' on, i hadda stay around and keep an eye on my Mom 'cause she was barbequein' and i wanted to make sure she was safe. some of the pills she's on make her dizzy and i didn't want her fallin' on the grill and grillin' her arm or somethin'. anyway, everybody liked their ribs and eventually it was quiet and i got to sleep. happy day after!!

You sure are looking very stealthy (is that a word, momma?) You are so good to your momma, keep it up, you are a healing treasure, momma says.

I was gonna say that Grilled Mom mighta been tasty but then I realized I was thinking of grilled chicken or tri-tip, cause we'd NEVER wanna grill a person. Right...? They have the opposable thumbs! ;)

Glad you had a good holiday, Edsel! I'm glad your Mom didn't fall on the grill or somethin, too. She doesn't need no more reasons to see the bean V-E-T. You're furry good at looking after your Mom :)

Hiya Edsel! You sure am looking good these days. Glad to hear you had a (kinda) good holiday. I hide from pee-poles I don't know too. One more good thing about livin in the woods, there weren't any kaboomies close enough to hear! YAY!

You blend in very well with the cushions of that chair, Edsel. If you hadn't told me you were on the chair, I might not have noticed. You are indeed quite stealthy!

It sounds like you had a fantastic 4th of July! Happy 4th to you and your wonderful family!

Glad you got to go all stealth and have a good nap Edsel!

It was all too sticky out here for us to eat on the deck :( But we did enjoy the kaboomies on the talking box!

The crash-a-boomies would have kept me hidden away too. I don't know why humans like to blow things up. However, I would've come out for the barbeque. I love ribs!

I can hardly see you being all ninja like that! I'm glad you were able to keep your mom all safe, too. Grilled Mom is never a good thing.

We like when fireworks season is OVER. (And grilled arm doesn't sound like a good idea, definitely - good thing you were there to watch over her).
