almost Happy New Year

i agree with Precious over in the Big Piney Woods. why the heck do we need a new year? granted, this last one was not without challenges, but as my Mom and the Dad say, we're all still here, walkin' and talkin' and able to cellybrate a new year, so how bad could it have been.

because my Mom is so borin', they are doin' exactly the same thing this year as they did last year. even the same food!!! in fact, i could put a link over to my post last year and just pretend it's this year and avoid the work of makin' a new post! but i won't do that. we'll take pictures and stuff and post it tomorrow.

so i hope everybody is safe tonight (drivin' and stuff. here in the Detroit area there is a stoopid custom of shootin' guns off at midnight. how dumb is that??) and i'll talk to you next year!!

different stuff

hi again. my Mom is off work today but she had so many phone calls to make it seemed like she was at work!! oh well, she said tomorrow will be quieter.

first, here is the cool mug that Derby and his Mum got my Mom in my secret paw. my Mom says she won't drink coffee in it 'cause it would stain the white inside, but she'll use it for herbal tea which she likes to drink at home at night. it's got really cute Tuxies all over it so both my Mom and i like it a lot!

here's a picuture of the Chrissymouse day cod fest! as you can see, i very nicely shared with my poopy sister. my Mom kept tryin' to get us to look at the camera, but sheesh Mom, we had more 'mportant things to do!

and here was me afterwards. too full and sleepy to do anything, but, well, sleep.

all in all, a very successful Chrissymouse day. i saw over at the House of the Mostly Black Cats blog (*blush* hi Boni!) that are very nicely going to host another event on New Years Eve. i'm lookin' forward to that one too, it'll be fun seein' a bunch of you guys again. my Mom said not to expect a bunch 'cause lotsa people go out on that night, but i think a lot of your beans are old farts (sorry Mom, but the truth hurts!) just like my Mom and the Dad. see you soon!!

The Day After

well. we had a lovely Chrissymouse. first, i got to open my Secret Paw, from Derby, and it was great! a fever toy on a wand, different catnip pillows, treats, stinky goodness, wow, it was so impressive. plus, Derby's Mom sent my Mom a wonderful mug - it's HUGE and it has tuxedo kittys on it and she just loooooves it. we'll post a picture, probly tomorrow. Thanks Derby and Derby's Mom!!

then. oh glorious cod. i was nice and shared it with my poopy sister, even tho i know my Mom got it for me. it was sooooo good. and, the best part is there's more! my Mom said i can keep gettin' some thru New Years. i'm only 'sposed to have it on special occasions, so she's makin' the whole week special for me. oh, yummmmmm.

we had a quiet Chrissymouse Day. my aunt and uncle came over for dinner. (i stayed upstairs - they smell like big dogs). we don't have any snow, it's just cold and grey. my Mom is home the rest of the week and i'm hopin' the sun might come out!!

oh, and FINALLY my Mom sent my Secret Paw present out today. it should get there before the 31st which is the deadline, i just hate being so late (it was her fault!!!)

so, i hope everybody is havin' a good Chrissymouse week!

it's a good thing

when my Mom and i were drinkin' coffee and reading' the paper this mornin', we read that at 7:22 tonight it's Winter Solstice. that means it's the beginnin' of winter, which isn't so good. but what is REALLY, REALLY good is that the days start gettin' longer! WOO HOO! that means, that there is light at the end of the tunnel. one day, i hope not too far off, when my Mom gets home from work, it will still be light and i'll be able to romp in the yard!!!

happy Winter Solstice everyone!!!

Pee Ess - my Mom has been bakin' cookies, i'm sooooo glad. i'll take a picture of 'em all later, there's a bunch. i guess that means we'll have christmas after all!

Happy Holidays! (from me anyway)

i'm tryin' so hard to get my Mom in the mood. she still hasn't done anything. not anything. not a cookie. not a bow. we did get a package tho, yesterday. it's my SECRET PAW!!! i'm so very, very excited. i peeked and it's from Derby, wow! but, just like last year, my Mom says i can't open it 'till christmas. i know if i work on her i'll soften her up, tho. oh, and here, from me, is a song for everybody http://badaboo.free.fr/merryxmas.swf

Another Meezer Alert!

here it is. the ham. i looked and it's 9.72 lbs. i think that's enough so that anybody who wants some can come over. my Mom is puttin' it in the oven at 5 o'clock and we're eatin' dinner at 6:30. so come on over anybody who wants some! (plus, if you guys eat it all, i won't have to watch my Mom make that gaggy samwich of peanut butter, pickles and ham.) shudder.....

The challenge

well. Grr, Midnight and Cocoa issused a challenge for me to write a song 'bout fev-vers to the tune of Deck the Halls. my Mom is too busy to help me and i don't know that song, so i did the best i could. but, the important thing is I DID IT! so you guys gotta donate $10 to Brandi and her Mom. my song (forgive me, it's really pretty bad):

Deck the house with pounds of fev-vers
Even tho it’s bad to show them off
Tis the season to take measure
Santa will come in and surely cough

See the tree and all the presents
Not a single one of them will be for you
Poodins who pillage little pheasants
Pay the price for being not nice

Fast away the old year passes
Fa la la la la, la la la la
Fev-vers in piles and big old masses
Fa la la la la , la la la la
Try to hide them, lads and lasses
But keep a fluffy one out just for you

When Santa leaves and you have no presents
That fev-ver will be your yule-tide treasure
Fa la la la la, la la la la
