wow I've been gone a long time

where have i been? here. i've just been tryin' to spend as much time as i can in the yard, which means i'm not by the computer when my Mom is, so i haven't been able to blog. sigh. but we're okay! my Mom had a great time on her trip to Ohio. she's so happy that both her trips this summer were such a success. we had to post a couple of our friends in Idaho.....

this here is Miss Precious Flower. my Mom said she is "pretty as a picture."

and this here is Miss Mittens. my Mom's sleepin' buddy. i wasn't too happy to hear that at first, but my Mom said it was a good thing, it kept her from bein' too lonesome for me, and that I should thank Mittens for bein' so nice. so i do. Thank You Mittens for takin' care of my Mom!

my Mom also had a good time on her trip to Ohio with her three friends she's known forever. but, she's home now. doesn't go away until next month to Chicago, and that's just for one night. She's hopin' to become a "secret shopper" so we'll keep you posted on that adventure. and, finally, I have to show you somethin' that made the Dad really upset. i don't know WHY. it's MY hosta, they said so!
it was HUGE. you notice i say "was". it was takin' over the yard and i had to do some very necessary trimmin' on it as obviously the Dad was not bein' very diligent. so i cut it back a little bit.....
it IS MY hosta, after all.........
anyway, i'm goin' to eat some Cod, i smell it and i better get it before my poopy sister butts in (did you notice how i worked the word "butt" in there without my Mom noticin'?? i'm not supposed to use that word in a sentence 'bout my sister. my Mom said so......or maybe it's "poopy" i'm not 'sposed to say?.?.?........)

Sweet! You're back. I'm glad it seems like your Mom had a good time...sometimes people need to go recharge their batteries. I don't know why they just don't plug themselves into the wall, but...whatever. People are strange.

Hi Miss Sue;

I do miss you so much. I have to sleep alone in the bedroom now, so mostly I hide under it. Momma says she is worried about me, she says I am acting "strange." I told her I am just missing you!

Nice job gardening Edsel! We've never tried hostas, but there are some on the other side of the garage that may need our attention :-)

Oh Edsel, it's your hosta so you can definitely do what you want with it. Those are cute pictures of our Big Piney Woods friends too. I'm glad your Mom's home to cook you Cod though.

Hi Edsel!!!!!
Gosh we've missed you, but we can appreciate the fact of lounging in the yard to get the most out of summer.
Our dad bought a power washer and went crazy this summer blasting all around the house and he totally wrecked a lot of moms plantings.

I am so glad that your Mom had a good time on her trips. I think you did a good job on trimming your hosta. I have given you an award.

We love to play with our Hosta, but we do not think it is very delicious.
