Easter?

i heard that Easter is 'sposed to be warm. that beans dress up in bonnets and play outside. well, the only bonnet anybody is gonna be wearin' around here is a snow bonnet. it's COLD!! plus, (i wonder if the Meezers know this??) i heard that Moms are 'sposed to fix ham on Easter. and cheesy potatoes. springy stuff. do you know what MY Mom is gonna make? do you??? it's so weird it's almost embarassin'. she's makin' beef stew. on easter. plus, a lady behind her at the meat counter in the store today heard her order beef stew meat and said "oh, i haven't made stew in ages. i'll take two pounds of that too" and told my Mom she's makin' in tomorow for her family and they'll be upset! so my Mom infected another house with stew, too. sigh. Moms. very strange they are. so, anyway, when a lot of you are enjoyin' your special dinners tomorrow, think of me and Casey. with beef stew on our plates.......... yuk.

Edsel you might be getting stew but mum is talking about grilling out tomorrow. All bundled up, earmuffs, mittens and all. But that is for the evening, I think she and Grampie will have ham at noon dinner. But that won't be here, so I won't get any!

Hey, stew sounds great! I don't think the Woman knows how to make it, though. Not unless it comes out of a can. I'd trade you tomorrow's chicken for the stew, 'cause I'd like to try it sometime...

Our Momma and Daddy went out for something called a brunch! So no good smells or scraps or nothing.

No luck on any ham here. Mum said they had ribs and beef for lunch. And mum did her thing with the grill. The first bratwurst has been eaten for the year.

My mom makes green chile stew for Christmas, and I think that's pretty weird. It was so cold here this weekend that maybe she should have made some now! Anyway, no ham here either. I think there are a lot of no-hammers, Edsel.

We had corned beef for Easter dinner. We both like it a lot, so it was fine for us.

Beef stew is good cause there are little bits left over from the counter and The Big Thing gives us pieces! We love those.

Too bad it wasn't ham, though. Ham is even better.
