Cat Calendars

Hey! we bought our cat calendars today! one of each kind - a 12 months on a page and a flippy one. we can't wait to get 'em. if you go here to my gun moll Boni's blog you can order them too. the money goes to help beans and poodins who need help. it's a very good thing to do!

did anybody see him comin' this way? 'cause i think he ambushed my Mom. i kinda like Christmas 'cause it's fun and stuff, but today my Mom said we're not doin' much for Christmas this year. i said "are we gonna put up the pretty outside lights?" she said probly not. i said "are we gonna put up our litte tree?" she said she didn't know. i said "are we gonna have fun wrappin' all those presents to put under the tree??" she said she didn't know. yup. i think the grinch was here. bad grinch. if anybody has any tips 'bout how to get Moms in a better mood, please let me know.

Thankful

i am thankful for many things.
i am thankful for my forever home.
for being loved and safe.
i am thankful for my yard,
for being well fed and played with.
i am thankful for all of you, my friends, who make me laugh
and make me cry sometimes too.
the thing that i am most thankful for, tho, is that this year,

it's a really crummy day today so this is all we're doin'. i may get up later to eat.

you know, sometimes my Mom gets kinda miffed at me 'cause i do stuff that she doesn't like. one of them is to call my sister poopy on my blog.

well, i am not going to say that word, but once again my Mom and the Dad had to put on the rubbery gloves and take Casey into the bathroom. (and it wasn't 'cause she wanted to share makeup secrets!) pee-uwww....... she may be all foofy and people always comment 'bout how pretty she is and lets see more pictures of her......but my gosh, the girl needs some pooping lessons!! maybe one of you ladies who are also foofy could visit with her and give her some tips?


on a nicer note, i just want to mention again, in case you haven't been over to and then there were four....eh!there is a wonderful story about love. you have to link to it. it made us cry and made us thankful for all the time we've had together and will have together. read it. it's very special. and we hope very much that Smudge is doin' good.

hi!! happy saturday! i love it when the weekend comes 'cause my Mom is around more and i get to sleep in a little with her and stuff. i wanted to show Boni that i love my electric bed too! (not just my poopy sister Casey!) it's very toasty and 'specially when it gets really cold here in the mitten state, i will really 'ppreciate it.




i wanted to show everybody the rooster box too, my Mom picked it up today. last week so many people came in to get one, the store ran out and she paid for it but didn't pick it up 'till today. it kinda looks like a bird house from the outside, but if you look down below, with the door, open, you'll see how it's different.







it's kinda hard to see, but when the door is open, you see that there are perches inside for all the little birdies to sit on. that way, when it's real cold, they sit close together and their body heat keeps each other warm so they don't freeze.

what a good idea!!

(i hope my Mom is tellin' the truth 'bout this and it really isn't a box for a rooster - they kinda scare me, they look so mean!!)

well. my Mom can't drive yet so yesterday she grabbed her umbrella and walked to the place where people vote. and you know what?? the doves won!!! nobody will be shootin' them just for the heck of it! sometimes people do the right thing.

oh Mom, how could you? after all the talk lately about roosters and knowing that i'm scared of 'em, how, oh how, could you go out today and buy A WHOLE BOX OF THEM????? A WHOLE BOX OF ROOSTERS!!!! do you hate me that much, Mom? here, all this time i thought you loved me, i thought i was your special boy......and now i find out that you have done this. where will i go?? i obviously can't stay here with a WHOLE BOX OF ROOSTERS!!!

what? you didn't buy a box of roosters?? well, i know i heard you talking about it.....what??? oh. you bought a roosting box. well, i guess that's different. ummm. Mom? what's a roosting box? .........oh, really?? oh my! i had no idea!

well! my Mom read an article in the paper today about birds in winter. it said that the little birds try to eat all day when it's cold so they have enough energy to shiver all night, and that's what keeps 'em warm enough so they don't freeze. but, but, if it's below freezin' for a few days in a row, they just can't stay warm enough and lots and lots of 'em die. and that with a lot of trees bein' cut down and stuff, there aren't holes for them to roost in. but, nice people (my Mom!) can put up roosting boxes. they have little holes and perches and lots an lots of birds fit in and huddle all together and stay warm. what a cool idea!! thanks Mom, for bein' nice! (and i bet the birds will thank you too!!)

VOTE NO ON PROPOSAL 3!

here in the Mitten state, next week, we will be votin' on somethin' called Proposal 3. my Mom told me all 'bout it. it lets people shoot little Mourning Doves. for target practice. they don't hurt anybody. they're not mean. they don't divebomb our house or anything. when the Mom and Dad doves get shot, the baby doves starve to death. some people just like to take their guns and kill them. we think that is just plain wrong. and mean. if you live in the Mitten state, please vote No on Proposal 3. the baby doves will thank you. and so will i.
